AP California - December 10th 1998

Today tens of users of the popular Linux operating system commited mass
suicide after their fearless leader fearlessly removed 386 support from
the Linux operating system. Aparently all of these people were involved in
some sort of 'kernel' k^hcult. Investagators are still attempting to
determine the exact cause of death, but 'Connecting Microsoft's Windows NT
to their air supply' or 'Patching the Linux kernel for streams support'
are among the rumored causes.

Linus could not be reached for comment.
