In article <Pine.Linu.4.00.9808220832120.2176-100000@lightside.ddns.org> you write: >Hi fellow user of mcdx! (and the only one I know of:) What transfer speed >are you getting under linux? Because here it's VERY low, kinda like under >50k/s
I get around 150 K/s with the double speed drive. AMD 486/100 on an old EISA/ISA board, 16 MB RAM. That's only about half of the expected rate. I transferred 64 MB using 'dd' and 'time'. Is there a better way to do measurements?
I have another Mitsumi Drive (single speeed) which gets up to 140 K/s. AMD 5x86/133, PCI/ISA board, 64 MB RAM. The 140 K/s may be too high, but I didn't want to read 256 MB to get exact measurements ;-)
