On most SCSI BIOSes and utilities, if you do a low-level reformat it will always format to the standard 512-byte sector size. I'd try that first. Otherwise you may want to snoop around for a DOS SCSI utility and boot DOS from a floppy.
Note that all the data on the disk will be lost, of course.
