This is not entirely true. I did do all initial work on 2.0, but since getcwd works more or less automatically in 2.1, I decided to make it my working platform. The 2.0 code should be as stable as the 2.1 code, the only difference in functionality should be that getcwd works poorly in the 2.0 code.

The problem persists in the latest version. It is not true that _all_ suid/sgid programs dies, though. I have seen different behaviour on different architectures.
