SubjectRe: 2.1.115 and Cyrix detection
Date

Again I'll jump in on this bandwagon by stating the detection code is screwing
up on this machine also.

CPU 6x86MX PR233+

Its not even detecting the stepping correctly..

[gregm@tweetie gregm]$ cat /proc/cpuinfo
processor : 0
cpu family : 4
model : 6x86MX 2.5x Core/Bus Clock
vendor_id : CyrixInstead
stepping : 2.6
fdiv_bug : no
hlt_bug : no
sep_bug : no
f00f_bug : no
fpu : yes
fpu_exception : yes
cpuid level : -1
wp : yes
flags :
bogomips : 186.78

As you can see its saying in the model 2.5x for the stepping yet the
'stepping' line is saying 2.6? Also its still insisting that it is a cpu
family 4 when it should be a 6.

On boot up the CPU line is as such:
CPU: Cyrix 6x86MX 2.5x Core/Bus Clock stepping 2.6

Now before I get accused of over/underclocking. The external clock is set to
75 MHZ and the stepping is set to 2.5 per the motherboard's instructions.

The motherboard in question is a GCT-8STB.

So anyone have any clues?
