Does alt-sysrq-p give you any data. If so, a long sequence of PC samples mapped back through the System.map ought to show the problem.
Does the same lock up occur if you load sound as a module?

Eh? Of course we do. Thus `avanti_pci_fixup' and `noname_pci_fixup' are separate functions.
