regress the following function to version 1.40 (found in kernel 2.1.112pre2 and lower):
__initfunc(void pcibios_fixup_peer_bridges(void))
it is in linux/arch/i386/kernel/bios32.c, at about line 950.
this should avoid the problem until the Official Patch (tm) is done.
