RH 5.1 for i386 comes with both and uses gcc-2.7 for gcc and egcs for g++
(by default).

[fubar@solo fubar]$ g++ -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/egcs-2.90.27/specs
gcc version egcs-2.90.27 980315 (egcs-1.0.2 release)
[fubar@solo fubar]$ gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.7.2.3/specs
gcc version 2.7.2.3
[fubar@solo fubar]$ cat /etc/redhat-release
release 5.1 (Manhattan)
