This isn't a kernel question exactly, but it is kernel related. I recently upgraded to the 2.1.111 kernel from 2.0.35. I also, of course, upgraded several packages (all those listed in the Changes file).
While I had no troubles with networking under the 2.0.x kernels, I can't seem to can *any* network device functioning under 2.1.x!! I think the culprit may be net-tools (1.4.5), since I can't do ifconfig, route, etc. Any of those commands complain about "no usable address families found". Somewhere it also complains about the 'inet' family.
I've checked and re-checked my kernel config and has AF_UNIX and AF_INET defined... What am I missing?
Any help is greatly appreciated -- I've been in the dirt since Monday...
Thanks,
Tyson
