Hi,
I stumbled across the following problem:
I have a MSDOS fs on a box named Mirabell and mounted it r/w. I also export it via NFS:
/dev/hda1 on /dos type msdos (rw) mirabell# cat /etc/exports /dos *.hjb.de(rw,no_root_sqash)
Now I mount this on another box, also r/w:
mirabell:/dos on /dos type nfs (rw,addr=10.0.0.6)
But when I try to access the fs, I get the error "Read-only file system".
??
Of course, mounting ext2 partitions works as expected.
The behavior is the same with 2.0.35 and 2.1.11x. Is it supposed to work, do I expect too much, or did I something wrong?
Thanks, hjb
BTW no problems here with 2.1.111 on a SMP Pentium box with 128 MB RAM, and 2.0.pre36-1 + Jumbo-8 patch on a 486/133 SCSI and a P-133 notebook. -- "Every use of Linux is a proper use of Linux." -- John "Maddog" Hall, Keynote at the Linux Kongress in Cologne
