Subject[reproducible v4l panic] 2.1.111 in 4Mb :)

Hi,

Been booting 2.1.111 with 4Mb to see what it can do. Managed to edit a
picture in GIMP under X at 1280x1024x16bpp ;-)

Not what I'd call snappy in the response department, though. Oh for
modular ipv4 -- that would save me a few 100k and give 20% more pages in
the swappable pool :)

Anyway after messing with the system a bit, I did "modprobe bttv". Not a
good move. Cue

i2c: unregister_bus #1: bus not found: bt848-0
Kernel panic: vfd: bad unregister
[hang]

Reproducible.

Guesswork suggests its some kind of allocation failure, or maybe
physically contigous allocation failure, which exposes a bug in the error
recovery path. Maybe even a missed error check ;-)

Anyway I think it's back to 64Mb because I want to watch TV!!

Cheers
Chris
