Subject2.1.111 BTTV annoyances

Hi,

I just upgraded from 2.1.106ac2 to 2.1.111 on my home machine, to help
point out any remaining nasty bugs.

During the upgrade, bttv.o module seems to get much less intelligent.
Before it would work out where my video memory is automatically. Now, I
get no TV unless I use the "vidmem=0xe00" parameter [aside: this isn't
brilliantly intuitive, my first try was videmem=0xe000000, the real
address].

My other gripe is the behaviour of switching from X to virtual consoles
and back again. I have xawtv running. When I switch back to X, xawtv has
a "frozen" picture. Worse, if I kill and restart xawtv, I have a BLANK
picture!!! TV is now totally hosed unless I rmmod and insmod bttv again.
Not impressive IMHO :)

Cheers
Chris
