I've noticed something of slight importance with serial myself.
I need to use setserial during boot to tell the serial driver that ttyS2 is on irq5, not irq4 for 2.0.33 and I think 2.1.<100
2.1.106ac4 does not need it.
2.1.111pre1 needs it again.
Don't ask me, I just look like I work here :)
