My problem is that I have a VESA 2.0 compliant card (Hercules Dynamite 128 with ET6000 chipset), and when I start up linux with a vesa mode, I can see on the monitor that the card was switched into the right mode, but damn I can't see anything. The system is running ok, but it's no fun having a black screen in front of you.
