SubjectRe: Hack for Sound question

The best way would be to have the current state available to userspace (it
currently is afik) and create a simple daemon that polls it and saves to a
file. On daemon startup it should load the setting from the file.

Linux needs a really good sound daemon. Perhaps something that does MPEG4
structured audio and can mix multiple mp4 streams and work over the
network. Then the API could bu just wrappers to turn stuff to a mp4 stream
and stuff it to the audio server..

Oh well.. Userspace is off topic here.
