Hi, all.
Once upon a time, several releases ago (at least 2.0.30), I got several errors related to vm while copying a very large file between local filesystems or "e2fsck-ing" a filesystem, for example.
Nowadays I'm running a 2.0.35 kernel, and the problem persists. Also, I'm using the latest libc5 (5.4.46). It's "fascinating" that this problem is not appearing while copying the same file between two remote filesystems. I think this problem was focused by several folks during the transition to 2.0.31. As suggested, I was trying to tune the vm, without success.
Please, anyone has an idea of what is happening here?. Any suggestion?
PS. Please, excuse my poor English.
