Sorry for some things I forgot to mention, before now people
search for a hidden problem. This is an AMD K6 box.

First, I compiled using a pgcc snapshot (I know, a Bad Thing
To Do[tm]), using a 2.1.x ioport.c. This worked stable with
2.0.33 for me, so I guessed 2.0.35pre9 should not break it.
X11 and i4l work.

Then, "mount"ing works fine, but every access triggers the
"I/O error". umounting is impossible because umount says it
cannot write the superblock. This happens on hdc2, hdc3, and
hdd4, all ext2. Root device on hda5 works. All partitions
have the nodiratime flag set.

I wasn't able to test it with 2.0.35final yet. Still, 2.0.33
with some non-fs related patches works.

ciao,
johnny
