Hi,

There is another long standing bug:

You can not reliably tcpdump _forwarded_ packets on 2.0.x

The packets will be missing, duplicated or garbled. The problem is
very easy to reproduce and can be very annoying because it means that
you can not diagnose many network problems on a Linux router.

One could use a separate "tcpdump-machine" to watch a network, but
in remote situations this is not an option. Also with eg. PPP
interfaces or Ethernet switches this won't work.
