Hi,
There is another long standing bug:
You can not reliably tcpdump _forwarded_ packets on 2.0.x
The packets will be missing, duplicated or garbled. The problem is very easy to reproduce and can be very annoying because it means that you can not diagnose many network problems on a Linux router.
One could use a separate "tcpdump-machine" to watch a network, but in remote situations this is not an option. Also with eg. PPP interfaces or Ethernet switches this won't work.
Contact me if you want a detailed description of the problem !
