Same here, the problem started in 2.0.34pre12 utilizing the driver version
5.0.14.
Unfortunately (the broken) 5.0.14 is included in 2.0.34, 
a "stable" kernel since months.

Anyway one can fix it by using the latest driver from

ftp://ftp.dialnet.net:/pub/linux/aic7xxx/

It already tried 5.0.15 and 5.0.18, both worked ok so far.
(Well at least for me)
