Subjectncr 875 problem found... sorry.

This is too weird - but I think the problem was due to the interference
given off by my k6-233 CPU. That, or it was a bad pci slot.

There are 5 pci slots in this system; the closer I put peripherals to
the CPU, the more problems I have; video cards have the most noticeable
problem with the screen looking a bit like what I have heard about LSD.

Perhaps I have a remarked k6; I'll have to investigate with clock &
bus speeds.
