Sorry for cross-posting - we run into serious problem right before going BETA and guys from *.smb, *.*.networking couldn't help so far.
Environment: A few Linux diskless clients (2.0.30) and Windows NT workstation 4.0.
Problem: Everything works fine when one client smbmount's a few shared dirs from NT. When two+ clients attempt to mount same dirs at the same time only first succeeds, others fail with smb_dont_katch_keepalive:server->data_ready==NULL errmsg. Dir that fails mounting usually different from time to time. If you wait a while and repeat mounting, dir mounts just fine.
So far I could relate above to the /usr/src/linux/fs/smbfs/sock.c: smb_dont_katch_keepalive().
Questions: 1. What can cause that problem, timeouts, net congestion? 2. How to fix it :) ?
Thanks,
Pavel
