While reading linux/drivers/scsi/README.aic7xxx I came across the format for giving modules loaded on insmod parameters. For example if I wanted to see the 'verbose' messages during load I could:
insmod aic7xxx aic7xxx='verbose'
I get the following when that command is executed:
/lib/modules/2.1.106/scsi/aic7xxx.o: invalid parameter aic7xxx
I'm currently running: linux-2.1.106ac3 aic7xxx-5.0.19 modutils-2.1.85 - compiled freshly under THIS kernel.
I've contact the author before and he suggested that I recompile the kernel and module and try again... that was on linux-2.1.103... and it didn't help... and still doesn't ;-)
<drum-roll> Here's the question: Has anyone had success with this? What am I missing if you have?
