Hi, Maybe this question has ever been asked, so please apologize me if it's the case ... I have a SAMSUNG 32X Max and it can deal with PIO Mode 1/2/3/4. When I let it choose PIO Mode 3 or 4, it isn't detected by Linux Kernel but it is in Mode 1 or 2. I think it's a matter of DMA handling (but I'm not sure): maybe some of you can correct this, it's quite anoying because everytime I switch between M$ and Linux (well ...) I need to change a parameter in the BIOS. This "bug" occures with all kernels (2.0.x, 2.1.x) and I have an Asustek P2L97 motherboard. Thanks in advance, Guilhem. -- ---------------------------------------- | Guilhem Lavaux ylavaux@pratique.fr | | Yves Lavaux mlavaux@pratique.fr | |--------------------------------------- | Web: http://www.pratique.fr/~ylavaux | ---------------------------------------- - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-kernel" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu | ||||||||||||
