That's where redhat comes in: copy distro to a server nfs, replace whatever packages you want, add them, delete them, so that you get all the packages you want and no more, and run the program genhdlist off of the redhat CD-ROM, which will generate new skeleton.cgz, hdlist, etc.... and you just run redhat's install via NFS.
