Yikes!!! Does it also do this stuff without my patch? All this patch
did to cdu31a was to properly increment the module use count (and then
spin up the drive) before an ioctl, and decrement the module use count
after each ioctl. These problems sound like something much worse then
that... Now that I have this patch out, I will start looking through
the cdu31a docs (did I remember to send you a copy Yann?), and the
source code and see what is happining. I havn't yet tried to fix the
reported "Ughs" (which may be related) and trying to read past the end
of the CD.
