I have system based on an ASUS P2L97-s m/b, PII-233. RH Linux 5, kernel 2.0.32.
The problem is that with APM enabled, when the system goes to sleep the time-of-day clock stops.
I've tried various kernel options and BIOS settings. The only circumvention I've found is the unsatisfactrory one of turning APM off in the BIOS.
What must I do? I've been planning on moving to a recent 2.1.xx kernel (for 2K sector support for my Magneto/Optical drive): will this fix it?
Cheers John Summerfield http://os2.ami.com.au/os2/ for OS/2 support. Configuration, networking, combined IBM ftpsites index.
