I'm pretty sure that isn't supposed to happen, but I'm not sure I'd
rule it out either. Since the TSC's guaranteed not to tick more than
2^64 times in 10 years, it's limited to just over 58 GHz, which may
not be too far off at the current rate of progress. OTOH, maybe the
x86 architecture will finally be dead by then. ;-)

(Do any other architectures have a feature with such a contract?)
