SubjectRe: no magic sysrq (stupid question?)
Hi,

> This is most definately me not having done something I should have done but I cannot figure out what. I seem to be unable to get my magic sysrq to work. I have compiled in support for it in latest few kernels (.84-.91, egcs) but it hasn't ever worked. It behaves just like any other key/modifier.

Maybe your keyboard doesn't support SysRq at all. Try 'showkey -k' and test
whether keycode 0x54 appears when you press SysRq. In case it doesn't, choose
some other key (e.g., one of the Windoze keys) and change #define SYSRQ_KEYS
in include/asm/keyboard.h to its keycode.

Have a nice fortnight
