That's the problem -- with 4 megs it took 25 minutes just to get partway
through rc.sysinit before I gave up. I guess I could make the first line
of that script make the changes, and see if that helps any. Plus I'm
testing on a machine with swap -- I guess I could swap to the unused part
of the boot floppy on the term server...<shudder>...
