The Alpha kernel needs a working _kernel_fork() to support kmod. I
finally dug up the necessary documentation on Alpha calling conventions
and assembler syntax, and will attempt implementing it over the coming
weekend. Richard Henderson and others have provided helpful hints, so
now it's a matter of serious hacking <g>.
