SubjectRe: Slight change to daemonless kernel/kmod.c: please test
 # If you are running the daemonless kmod, especially if you
 # have had problems with init's output vanishing, please try the
 # following version of kernel/kmod.c.

I haven't had that particular problem, but another (which this patch
didn't affect).

My BusLogic module isn't loaded when I attempt to use my tape drive. If I

modprobe st

from the command line, everything loads* (BusLogic,scsi_mod,st), but if I
just attempt to start using the device, BusLogic doesn't load (but
scsi_mod & st do).

* ---
Using 'modprobe st' works correctly, but produces one line of
   resize_dma_pool: unknown device type -1
which has no apparent effect.

'insmod BusLogic' does not produce that message

More info on request ...
