has anybody been successful using dhcpcd with linux?
i was testing with 2.1.96, but all versions ive got (dhcpcd-0.65, dhcpcd-0.70, dhcpcd-1.3*, and the www.isc.org dhclient) refuse to set the broadcast address to 0.0.0.0 (or 255.255.255.255) upon initialization (to reset all ip parameters for the interface)....they all come back with SIOCSIFBDRADDR: Cannot assign network address (through the ioctl(...) interface)...
2.0.30 is mildly successful (still having problems that i am trying to work out)...
if anybody is currently working, could you like send me some information? (i dont think im doing it wrong, but there is always a chance...)...
im using 2.0.30 (and 2.1.96)... compaq deskpro 4000 pentium 166 mmx 2.2g hd 32m ram 3com 3c503 (etherlink II) network card....
