SubjectRe: ppp bug in 2.1 (?)

PS.. Do you know anything about the VJ header compression causing
tcp checksum errors? My temporary workaround was to disable it
(which seemed to reduce the frame errors too).

Firstly, you are running a recent 2.1.9x kernel right? Ok, that makes
sure you have all the PPP driver bug fixes in there.

Secondly, what do you know about the hardware/software at the other
end of your PPP link? This has been the source of a lot of problems
as many vendors have bugs in their VJ compression implementation
(Ascend products with software version less than 6.0.0 is one known
culprit).
