The Colour quickcam and VC are not compatible, and trying to get VC docs out of Connectix has been fruitless so far.
If you have a look at www.hauppauge.com you can get a BT848 based card Linux supports that will also do TV for you, and if they are still running it an 'if you register' offer on a cheap colour camera for it
