On Sunday, Apr 12, Spirilly (spirilis@mindmeld.dyn.ml.org) spake thusly: > Hi, > What is the correct directory for applying Linux kernel patches? > /usr/src, /usr/src/linux? > Should there be a /usr/src/v2.1.95 or whatever version number present as well?
The following setup works:
/usr/src/v2.1.95/linux/... (README, Makefile, etc. - the source tree) /usr/src/linux -> v2.1.95/linux
# cd /usr/src # patch -p0 < patch-2.1.96
