Well, I have had success with 2.1.95. With kernels 2.1.85-94, I was able to reproduce an "uninterruptable sleep" stuck process fairly quickly and readily. With the wonderful new 2.1.95 patches, I have _not_ been able to recreate a problem.
For what it's worth, my config is Tyan 1668D, Dual PPro 150, Buslogic 958 with 2x8.7GB drives holding 10 md striped partitions, Buslogic 946 with SCSI tape and CDROM, DEC Tulip ethernet card, and dual millennium video cards.
Thanks for all the great work!!!
