SubjectRe: [2.1.94] stoopid ISP/possible tcp bug (kinda long)
   Date: Sat, 11 Apr 1998 10:22:35 +1000 (EST)
From: Damien Miller <dmiller@vitnet.com.sg>

I was suffering the same problem for a slightly different
reason. The Ascend Max 4k that I connect to was not honoring the
MTU I specified and pppd wasn't forcing the issue either.

There are also serious VJ compression bugs in all Ascend products
which run versions of their software older than 6.0.0

This has been found to be the cause of some of the CSUM error bugs
people have been seeing in 2.1.9x kernels, so beware.

Later,
David S. Miller
