Ok, I found the program I was looking for, it is hwdiag. I finally found it at. http://www.redhat.com/~msf There is the hwdiag program and there is a little blurb on pci and PnP probing, not much really, basicly a pointer to the hwdiag program. Follow the hwdiag link for the source.
