Subjectlinux-2.1.91: telnet hangs continue
The telnet hangs that others on this list and I have reported
continue under linux-2.1.91. As someone else on this list has reported,
I too see a huge constantly increasing error count on the eth0 interface.
For me the problem only occurs when I telnet directly to my workstation
running 2.1.91 from a machine connected indirectly by a phone line.
If I telnet from my home machine to some other machine on the local
ethernet and then telnet from there to my 2.1.91 workstation, the
problem does not occur. The lockups always happen when I am sending
a large (~2 screens) of text from my 2.1.91 workstation to my home
machine. I am also now seeing a number of "sending pkg_too_big to self"
kernel messages. I have gotten 34 of these error messages since
booting 2.1.91 about a half hour ago, and the error count on eth0 is
currently 410,260.

Anyhow, I hope this information helps.
