Subjectll_rw_block problems
Date
Hi

I installed 2.1.90 last night and had a few problems with ll_rw_block.

On boot, the root file system was correctly mounted from a SCSI disk
(/dev/sda1), but when it came to mount the swap partition (from /dev/hdb3)
the following error appeared and the machine froze:

ll_rw_block: device 03:43 only 1024-char blocks implemented (4096)

My root disk is SCSI but swap is on the 2nd IDE disk. All the IDE stuff is
built as modules. The problem only occurs if hdb3 swap is enabled before
mounting a file system off hda1.

If I mount hda1 and then enable swap on hdb3 then the problem occurs

Let me know if there is any more information that you need.

Thanks

Nick
