| |
Hi, all. I've finally managed to get back to devfs.
Version 20 of my devfs patch is now available from: http://www.atnf.csiro.au/~rgooch/kernel-patches.html
This is against 2.1.86. The next patch should be against 2.1.91-pre?. Highlights of this release:
- only create available floppy entries Thanks to Andrzej Krzysztofowicz <ankry@green.mif.pg.gda.pl>
- new IDE naming scheme following SCSI format (i.e. /dev/id/c0b0t0u0p1 instead of /dev/hda1) Thanks to Andrzej Krzysztofowicz <ankry@green.mif.pg.gda.pl>
- new XT disc naming scheme following SCSI format (i.e. /dev/xd/c0t0p1 instead of /dev/xda1) Thanks to Andrzej Krzysztofowicz <ankry@green.mif.pg.gda.pl>
- new non-standard CD-ROM names (i.e. /dev/sbp/c#t#) Thanks to Andrzej Krzysztofowicz <ankry@green.mif.pg.gda.pl>
- allow symlink traversal when mounting the root filesystem
- Create entries for MD devices at MD init Thanks to Christophe Leroy <leroy@meg.fr>
Regards,
Richard....
