I'm running a machine with a kernel based on the current CVS tree (2.1.89 - March 18). The machine is acting as a gateway between 2 networks. On one network I have 2 machines each of which is sending data to 1 machine on the other network (by TCP) as fast as they can send.
In doing so the kernel is spitting out the following message about once per second:
kernel: eth0: Bus master arbitration failure, status 88f2.
The ethernet card involved is an AT1700(?) - using the lance driver. There are 3 such cards in this machine.
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who would know what these messages mean. I can provide more detailed information on request if these messages represent a problem.
