I should have qualified in the above, that these netcard drivers work well
in the situations in which they work :) The SMC Ultra 8216 seems fine for
uniprocessor systems...but in one of our SMP (dual P150) boxes, the 8216
was not entirely stable...requiring occasional ifconfig down ; ifconfig
up's to get the card talking to the net again. This would happen roughly
every 30 days of uptime...but I was unsuccessful when trying to actually
cause it to happen.
