hi!
thanx for your help! but most said it is a hardware problem. IT ISN'T!!! it works fine with both linux and windows, and at the moment when linux is finished with the sound initialization, i'm hearing the noise of my cpu. andrea[s] arcangeli's tip using oss driver didn't work, it's just the same. but i heard something that might be interesting: the louder the music, the worse the quality of the sample. and the music plays fine, just sampling is the problem. i think that someone should take a look at the sources of the kernel sound-driver for fixing this. it may be ok downloading every driver available in the web in america, but in germany this isn't inexpensive... oh, the scsi-adapter runs fine, thank you!
karsten
ps: where can i get cdparanoia? do you have an url?
