    Subjectmysterious 2.0.33 crashes
Could anybody sugest a good (or any) method for debugging my

    mysterious reboots.
Every few hours to few days one of my linux boxes restarts
    without
leaving any indications in the log files (I administrate
    this machine
remotely). I have these problems since I replaced on old
    server with
this new HW. The software running is pretty much the same.

The linux is a networking (masquerading, diald, ppp) and
    file
server (samba) for a bnunch of Win95 machines.

    The HW:
Pentium II (Dell Poweredge), 64 MB RAM
    Adaptec AIC-7880 SCSI controller
    2 Western Digital 4MB (WDE4360-1807A3)
    1 3com 3c905 10/100 Ethernet card (used at 10 Mbit)
    UPS

    The SW:
    based on Slackware 3.4 distribution
    kernel 2.0.33 with patches: aic7xxx-5.0.5, 3c59x.c v0.49
    ld.so-1.9.5, libc 5.4.33
    diald 0.16.4
    samba 1.9.18p2
    squid 1.1.20

    TIA, Patrick
