I did notice it :)) The only tail of I2O in ac-5 is a configuration option... But even a configuration option looks promising :))
BTW, changes in include/msg.h do result in iBCS2 (snapshot 981105, latest on tsx-11) refuses to build, bombing out in iBCSemul/ipc.c with lot of "structure foo does not have a member bar". It's not all that difficult to get iBCS built with the new msg.h, but I'm not sure whether these changes make their way into the official 2.2 or not so I dunno what to patch... Is there anybody developing iBCS in here? May be we'd better expect a new iBCS snapshot in a coupla day?
