I had similar problems: used to fix them by simply turning off the
sound..

However, during the last build of kernel 2.1.131, I decided to
experiment with Vesa framebuffers. (Must say, way cool.. that's a
display I feel really comfortable with). Unfortunately, this seems
to mean that the screen is completely broken, it looks like my
first experiments with X.

Anybody got a solution for this ? Pointers to solutions perhaps ? A
more appropriate place to ask, since I'm not entirely sure this is
a kernel problem ?
