SubjectRe: VIOLENT 2.1.129 serial bug on Alpha.

It turns out there was a bug in the patch I sent out last week.  Thanks
to Robert and Benjamin for pointing that out. Enclosed please find
first a patch which should be applied if you've already applied the
patch which I suppied, secondly there is a patch which is against a
clean 2.1.130 kernel.
