I certainly don't see anything remotely like this here... I'd say
2.1.131ac3 (at least) feels snappier than earlier kernels.

i586/100, egcs-1.1.1, right now 2.1.131ac4, binutils-2.9.1.0.17 (was ...16
up to recently), glibc-2.0.105, vagely RedHat-5.1 based. Sadly, just 32Mb
RAM. Uptime isn't exactly great, as this machine is dual-booted, and also
faithfully follows the pre-patches.
