Any object that has mass (all real things) have gravity.......
Believe it or not.......... When you jump in the air (leaving the earth for a fraction in time), the comes up to meet you at a distance proportionally scaled to the separation of masses with respect to the center of mass of the system.
Translation:
You are a feather weight with respect to the total remaining mass on the earth that you departed from briefly, thus you are unable to see the motion. You are part of the system being acted upon.
So if the Earth stopped rotating, the new solar day would be a year. Ponder that one...........
This waste of time is brought to by a sleep deprived astronomer with a five month old teething son wonder why I replied..........
